At the edge of National Park Timanfaya , Lanzarote and on the Atlantic Ocean lies the village of El Golfo . It is a fishing village that was surrounded by lava in the eruptions of 1730-1736. The Gulf is the name of the village and also a crater cut in half by the sea, with a black sand beach and lagoon intense green fed by underground water from the sea (Pool of the click). The people of the Gulf is known for its restaurants. The local fishing is very good and as you can see the photos there are few tourists swimming in the Atlantic Ocean . In fact the whole west coast of the island of Lanzarote is very rugged and funds are very dangerous because the sea has not yet had time to erode the banks from the recent (geologically speaking) volcanic eruptions. The excursion to the town of Gulf worthwhile, not only for its restaurants, but along the way to go.The people of the Gulf is on the edge of Timanfaya National Park and on the way the people can see through the sea volcanoes and lava flows. We ate at the Blue Sea Restaurant , food, local fish and potatoes with mojo verde and mojo picon , a little more bite and a wine cellar of Lanzarote. The price was38 euros per person. It was not cheap but worth it.The beaches are black sand and a windy day, Lanzarote is very common in the other hand, is not recommended bathing water ... the photos do not invite it, right? On its beaches can be found olivine , semi-precious stones with which local artisans with original design jewelry. We entertained a while picking up some small olivine.
